Baschieri & Pellagri nurtures a genuine passion for shooting, establishing itself as a trusted ally for enthusiasts of Sporting Clays and Compak Sporting. Its shotshells are designed to turn every challenge into a memorable experience.
Thanks to a long-standing tradition of innovation and research, the brand has developed advanced technical solutions to ensure high performance and reliability on the shooting fields. Additionally, in line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, Baschieri & Pellagri has introduced the Green Core line: a range entirely dedicated to sustainability, featuring components made from biodegradable materials. These shotshells use 100% biodegradable wads and couvettes, delivering top-level ballistic performance while reducing environmental impact.
The Sporting & Compak Fiber, Next, and Next Fiber shotshells, part of the Green Core line, provide a comfortable shooting experience thanks to the Gordon case, which reduces recoil and enhances reaction speed for the second shot. These shotshells combine ballistic effectiveness with environmental care, making them the ideal choice for shooters seeking both high performance and eco-responsibility. Preserving this heritage for future generations of enthusiasts is the commitment the brand carries forward every day, balancing performance with respect for nature.
Let’s take a closer look at some key products in the Sporting & Compak range.
Although it does not feature Green Core components, the Sporting HV deserves mention, as it is particularly effective for demanding long-range shots.
The Sporting HV shotshell is a 28-gram premium lead load, characterized by high initial velocity and very regular and compact patterns, providing excellent breaking power on the most challenging clays. A high-level ballistic load, it has been specifically developed for Sporting Clays competitions, where challenging and hard-to-intercept trajectories are common.
Thanks to the Gordon case, it ensures moderate recoil, allowing quick re-aiming for the second barrel and lightning-fast follow-up shots on double targets. Its components are selected from the best available today: F2 powder, a renowned premium propellant known for delivering high velocities with moderate pressures; special polished lead, chosen for its sphericity and hardened with 5% antimony; and proven wad structures that provide dense and consistent patterns even at long range. Finished with a star crimp closure, the Sporting HV shotshell offers reliable ballistic performance, available in pellet sizes 7, 7.5, and 8.5, with consistency maintained across seasonal climate and temperature variations.
In light of the many new shooting ranges created with particular attention to environmental respect and the introduction of biodegradable wads, B&P has developed the Sporting & Compak Fiber Green Core shotshell with the ballistic goal of offering an effective solution for medium to short distances, while complying with the requirement of using wads that do not leave residues on the ground.
The felt wad and the special polymer of the Green Core couvette guarantee complete biodegradability within a few years. In addition to this added value, the shotshell also delivers the well-known excellent ballistic performance: thanks to the felt wad, it provides generous and well-distributed patterns that are effective from as close as 15 meters, depending on the choke used. The perfect gas sealing of the GC couvette and the cushioning effect of the felt wad also help keep the barrels very clean, ensuring consistent ballistic excellence even after many dozens of shots. The felt wad, with its excellent natural elasticity, works in synergy with the Gordon case to provide outstanding shooting comfort, minimizing fatigue during long series in competition conditions.
The Next is a relatively recent shotshell, created for shooting competitions on ranges where plastic wads are not permitted and only biodegradable alternatives are required. Both versions of the Next are equipped with the new Green Core wads or Green Core couvettes, which remain stable inside the shotshell but once on the ground show excellent biodegradability, accelerated by humidity, temperature variations, and microbial activity.
As a competition shotshell, the Next—available with a container wad or with a felt wad (couvette + felt wad)—delivers 28 grams of special lead at high speed, producing exceptionally regular and compact patterns. It is highly effective even on the most demanding clays (such as extreme long-range targets) thanks to its superior breaking power. The biodegradable material has surprisingly provided outstanding gas-sealing qualities, significantly improving shot groupings at all distances depending on the wad type.
This high-performance shotshell has been repeatedly tested in major competitions, proving its excellent ballistic qualities and stable firearm behavior upon firing. Its components are once again selected for premium quality: F2 powder, special polished lead with 5% antimony hardening, and the innovative Green Core wads and couvettes. Finished with a star crimp closure, the Next shotshell is available in pellet sizes 7, 7.5, and 8.5, and guarantees consistent top-level performance across all seasonal conditions.
In its Green Core version, with 28 grams load and No. 8.5 (2.2 mm) steel shot, it represents a perfect choice for sporting & compak competitions on environmentally protected ranges.
The shotshell ensures excellent performance at medium and even long ranges, where the hard shot’s breaking power achieves outstanding results on clays, up to distances of 30–32 meters.
It is soft-shooting and not tiring, and with the particular ballistics of steel shot, it delivers excellent performance on the range, suitable even for the most demanding competitions.
In conclusion, B&P perfectly combines attention to the highly relevant ecological aspect with its constant commitment to providing shooters with premium ballistic solutions and unmatched product consistency.
