No toxic patterns: shot pattern test in the ballistic testing lab of B&P
In different hunting lands, as lakes and swamps, the use of lead is banned and for this reason we introduced some alternative materials such as copper, tungsten, steel and bismuth.
Using these alternative materials for the production and loading of shot into cartridges means that the ballistic performance of the cartridges will vary significantly compared to those loaded with lead shot.
So, it’s important to know how these alternative materials behave in order to choose and understand the effects in different hunting situations.
What you will find in our guide
The patterns were made at distances between 30 and 35 meters, because this is the effective range of non-toxic materials.
However, we also used the same barrel and distance for the cartridges with copper, bismuth and tungsten shot, even if these have a few meters more range.
For each cartridge of the Baschieri & Pellagri proposals you will also find an accurate technical description and suggested methods of use.
