The new range of 2023 hunting and shooting cartridges stands out above all for the use of excellent wads: the already well-known Green Core line and the new Soft Steel wad.

The peculiarities of the Green Core wads are essentially two, I want to remind you; associated with the 100% biodegradable material with which they are produced and with the ballistic tightness of the gases which influences positively both the pressure and the muzzle speed ​​of the cartridge and very positively the quality/regularity of the patterns. 

 
Above all, 2023 sees an integration of the Privilege Game line with cadet gauge cartridges; the 20 ga is in fact one of the most requested gauges for hunting use.

Furthermore, the progress of the R&D in shooting cartridges has brought, with the use of the new wad, clear advantages and much more effective ballistics even on clay shotshell. The new Legend Steel 24g and 28g line is the clearest example of this. 
 
This short examination closes with the use of the bismuth; this material which has only recently improved in the context of B&P ammunition, bringing the important possibility of using all the old shotguns with the recent No toxic ammunition. 

Legend Professional Steel 24 and 28 grams – 12 gauge 

The 2023 begins in the name of innovation, nowadays we are ready for any eventuality; after all, we have been ready since 1885! With over thirty years of experience with "Steel Shot" cartridges, B&P improves a specific loading for skeet shooting, making highly performing even the difficult and little-loved steel pellet. 

The Legend Professional Steel is a product ready for the most demanding competitions. It creates large and regular patterns of hard pellets suitable for splitting the most insidious clay pigeons, with the effect of a hammer blow. A double weight, 24 and 28, for all eventualities and for different specialties. 

Special Green Core wad in 100% biodegradable material, in addition to help the ballistics of the steel, it prevents the slightest contact with the barrel, but without lose the advantage of the choke effect: you can shoot with all the barrels, even the most choked usually mounted on trap shooting shotguns.

We don't know if there will be a real exigency of this kind of product, but it's nice to know we have the winning product when and if it will be needed. 

Privilege Game Fiber 20 gauge – 28 and 32 grams 

The twenty gauge is increasingly gaining success on the most passionate modern hunters. 

It could be the sense of challenge, due to the greater difficulty of using and hitting the smaller gauge, or simply the much lighter and more manageable shotguns… or the recent trend which identifies small and medium-sized shotguns as "trendy" gauges. 

B&P has never overlooked the 20 gauge. Since the 1960s it has been the only Italian company to have in its catalog every load of the cadet gauge, up to Magnum and Baby Magnum, when these fascinated charges were at their first approaches with the Italian hunters. 

Privilege Game is an high-end product, created with scrupulous tuning of the ballistic level and excellent components: case, powder, Green Core wad and 2% antimony hardened pellets. 

The gas seal in 100% biodegradable material of the Green Core line, in addition to constituting a development aimed to limit the impact on the environment, has also proved to be an excellent improvement in the internal ballistics of the cartridge, presenting a superior and practically gas tightness with positive implications on the constancy of values ​​and patterns. 

The two weights and the felt wad, summarize a use dedicated to special hunts, as the upland game with dogs, or on by blind at wood pigeon and dove.. 

The loads are sustained, to give effectiveness, constancy and lethalness in every use. 

As such, their use is elective, given the number 5 (2.9 mm.) chosen for these charges, on hare and pheasant, and then wood pigeon and any ducks crossing out of wetlands, as mountain game. 

Dual Bismuth Fiber 12 Gauge – 32 grams 

Bismuth appears to be an ideal solution to deal with a possible lead ban, or in any case its progressive limitation.

The material has a high density of 9.6 g/cm3, good softness and the possibility of being used like lead, without the exigency of special shotguns and special wads, no legislation subjects it to the same rules imposed for steel, copper or tungsten. 

This material is of primary importance if one thinks of the hunting use of old shotguns, above all of value, even vintage ones, and of its freedom of use everywhere. 

The Dual Bismuth Fiber cartridge is a perfect choice suitable for any hunting situation, and for any type of shotgun. 

Good speed, regular and homogeneous patterns, good penetration guarantee all those ballistic characteristics necessary for having constancy and lethalness, in any difficult hunting situation and climatic condition. 

Dual Bismuth Fiber 20 gauge – 26 grams 

Even on the 20 gauge, bismuth will be the ideal solution in case of exigency, for a possible phased out use of lead; as already explained, this material has a high density, good softness of the metal which can be used like lead, in every shotgun and with cartridges with normal components, furthermore it is not bound by restrictive regulations on the use of shotguns. 

As in the 12, also in the 20 gauge, we have a medium load suitable for any hunting situation.

The 20-gauge Dual Bismuth Fiber, with its 26 grams of pellets, will be a versatile ammunition ideal in any hunting context, on all shotguns and for various types of game. 

Good effectiveness comes from regular patterns, synergistic with a deep penetration, effects that guarantee performance that gives constancy and lethalness. 

MB Mach Vintage 12 Gauge – 36 grams 

In the 70s, at the beginning of the decade, the B&P company came out with a new pigeon cartridge and later with an entire shooting and hunting line, usually with a yellow case for the shooting line and grass green for the hunting line.  

A new concept ballistic solution that it was necessary to offer to customers and enthusiasts, to show them and to the world how Baschieri & Pellagri has maintained a very high level in Research and Development.

For the first time, B&P introduce the application of the plastic case and plastic wad.

The MB Mach was an excellent pigeon shooting ammo, aesthetically very appealing, with new plastic “A” container wad, Super Fiocchi plastic case and 36 grams of nickel-plated lead… a star was born!  

A powerful and modern cartridge that would have garnered victories and gratifying appreciation on the most prestigious hunting grounds. The MB Mach will be our 2023 Vintage B&P cartridge.
